NFL Draft: Potential landing spots in the first round for Texas OT Samuel Cosmi

If Texas Longhorns offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi is selected in the first round in April, these could be the potential landing spots.

The upcoming NFL draft is going to be stocked full of offensive tackle talent and Samuel Cosmi should be among the first few selected. It’s a deep position, so there’s no clear way of telling where they’ll all go.

The only thing we can assume is that Cosmi won’t be one of the first 10 players taken off of the board. I expect the top four quarterbacks (Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance) each to be selected early on day one.

On top of that, at least two of the top three projected wide receivers (Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle) and a pair of top cornerbacks (Patrick Surtain II, Caleb Farley) will likely hear their name called within the first 10 picks.

The top offensive tackle prospect, Penei Sewell, and potentially a wildcard player (Micah Parsons or Kyle Pitts) will likely fall within the top 12 picks as well.

As soon as offensive tackles Christian Darrisaw and Rashawn Slater are selected, that’s when the Cosmi watch will likely begin. The former Longhorn is realistically expected to be the fourth tackle selected.

Here’s the most likely landing spots within the first round that Cosmi could end up.
