2021 NFL Draft: Ranking the top 10 offensive tackle prospects

Shane Carter of Longhorns Wire listed his top offensive tackle prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Offensive tackle is a premiere position that every team needs that you can never have too many of. Luckily enough for NFL organizations this year, not only is it a deep position in this draft, but we could end up seeing day one starters selected as late as the fifth round.

The talk of the position has begun with Oregon’s Penei Sewell and has seemingly been a myriad of players competing for the next spot. In reality, if this were an ordinary offensive tackle draft, any of these players would be first round picks, second round at worst, and considered elite prospects.

There’s no shame in coming in second in this group, or even ninth for that matter, as all of these players excel at what they do and would make any offensive line they come into better.

It was hard to just narrow it down to 10 since this draft has 12-17 quality starting offensive tackle prospects. Some might play left or right side, and a few even have the skills and flexibility to move inside to guard and not miss a beat.

With all that in mind, here’s a look at my top 10 offensive tackle prospects in the 2021 NFL draft. Where does one of Texas’ top prospects, Samuel Cosmi, fall among the nation’s best?
