Lakers at Kings: Prediction, point spread, odds, over-under, betting picks

The Los Angeles Lakers close out the first half of the season on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.

The Los Angeles Lakers have only one game between themselves and an extended break, which comes on Wednesday night in Sacramento against the lowly Kings. Also with this being the last Lakers game for nine days, it’s also the last chance to have some action on the Lakers for a while. We will give you all of the information you need to make the best wager possible courtesy of our friends at BetMGM.

Tonight’s game between the Lakers and Kings will tip-off at 10 p.m. EST, airing locally in Sacramento and Los Angeles while being carried nationally on NBA League Pass.

Advice and prediction

Coming off of a loss and already missing Anthony Davis, the Lakers are now also without LeBron James, in addition to Marc Gasol in tonight’s game. However, the team facing them on Wednesday may need the break more than any other team in the league.

The Kings come into Wednesday’s game having lost 10 of their last 11 and they are without their stud rookie Tyrese Haliburton, who is nursing a calf injury. Buddy Hield is also questionable for tonight’s game.

Still, De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and the rest of the Kings are good enough on paper to beat a depleted Lakers team that might not even have Kyle Kuzma in the lineup. However, there is something about the Lakers that I want to trust. In particular, their defense, even without their best players, is something they should be able to count on in a road visit to Sacramento.

The Kings should win this game. But that’s exactly why I don’t think they will. The Lakers burned me last night for believing in them, but the Kings are a different kind of bad. I trust the institutional knowledge of the Lakers, especially with the Kings looking ahead to a road game tomorrow against a solid Portland squad.

Prediction: Lakers 111, Kings 104
