In the wake of the hiring of defensive analyst Cordae Hankton, Steve Sarkisian’s new staff is getting bigger and better.
It was reported on Friday that former Vanderbilt recruiting coordinator, Taylor Searels, was added as the new director of recruiting operations on Sarkisian’s staff.
Searels spent two years as a part of the Vanderbilt Commodores staff. Prior to her time in Vanderbilt, she spent three years at Auburn as a part of the Tiger’s recruiting staff as a student assistant.
She comes from a football lineage as well. Her dad is Stacy Searels, who has been the offensive line coach for the University of North Carolina under former Longhorns head coach Mack Brown since 2019.

Most recently at Vandy & Auburn prior to that.
Father coaches OL at UNC.
Rising star.
Great hire for @CoachSark
Taylor Searles is coming at a fortunate time as the 2022 recruiting class is already receiving major commitments. The 2023 cycle looks like it could have just as big of an impact as many highly-touted recruits have narrowed down their lists with Texas included.
If Searles is able to help secure these highly rated high school players, then her already shining resume is going to skyrocket.
