Ohio State will be without one of their key big men on Thursday when they travel to the Breslin Center.
Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann announced on Wednesday that senior forward Kyle Young will miss the match-up against Michigan State on Thursday after suffering a concussion this past weekend against Michigan.

Young has started 22 of the Buckeyes’ 23 games this season and is averaging 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Young had six points and seven rebounds in Ohio State’s 79-62 victory over Michigan State earlier this season.
Obviously you never root for injuries, but the Buckeyes losing Young for this match-up does bode well for the Spartans. With Young out, Ohio State will be expected to go with more of a smaller lineup — which is what Michigan State has been primarily rolling with in their past two victories. The Buckeyes will still have plenty of other weapons but losing Young will definitely affect this game.
Michigan State vs. Ohio State is scheduled to tip off at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday and can be seen on ESPN.
