Michigan State Basketball needed a win today on the road over Indiana if they wanted to keep hope alive of an NCAA Tournament berth, and that’s what they did. In what started off as an ugly game for the Spartans, MSU played the Hoosiers tough in the second half to win 78-71 behind an incredible performance from Aaron Henry.

Henry, playing against the school he grew up near, finished with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block, playing all 40 minutes of the game.

Joshua Langford also came alive in the second half and scored 14 points to go along with 6 boards, 5 assists, and a steal. He played 36 minutes.

Gabe Brown and Rocket Watts were the other two players Izzo rode in this game, with Watts playing 32 minutes and Gabe Brown playing 29. Brown scored 14 points and Watts scored 6 but looked really good, a great sign for the rest of the season.

Izzo continued to use a carousel of players at the big man spot, with Bingham, Hauser, Sissoko, Kithier, Marble, and Hall all getting some minutes. Bingham, in my opinion, played the best out of all of those players and has earned more minutes in the future.

Michigan State is back in action on Tuesday against Illinois. They also play Ohio State on Thursday. A winning streak would propel this squad back into the Tournament picture.
