Tuesday night’s Oklahoma-Texas game postponed to Wednesday

Tuesday night’s Oklahoma-Texas basketball matchup has been postponed back to Wednesday due to severe winter weather in the area.

Severe winter weather is impacting many people in the region currently and sports are understandably having their schedules altered because of it. Already on Monday, Oklahoma baseball canceled their home series this weekend in lieu of games in south Texas. Now, Oklahoma basketball has pushed back their Tuesday night game against Texas to Wednesday.

At the very least, this gives all involved more time to see how the weather plays out and what potential back-up plans are available down the road if the game still could not be played this week. At this time there is no available information regarding tip time of the game or the television broadcast of the contest.

A highly-anticipated game in the Big 12 and around the country, the matchup was originally set for a primetime 8:00 p.m. CT tip time on ESPN. The two rivals already met once this season, with Oklahoma picking up the road win in Austin a few weeks ago in late January.

Sooners Wire will provide updates on the situation as they become available. For now, the Sooners and Longhorns will shift things over a day and prepare to tee it up against one another on Wednesday.
