Ohio State football left tackler Thayer Munford surprised a lot of folks by announcing a decision to come back to Ohio State after his senior season last year. He was one of the few that took advantage of the NCAA allowing seniors to come back for one more year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It’ll be Munford’s fifth-year in Columbus. He has been a starter at left tackle for the last three years and one of the most experienced offensive lineman in the country. Needless to say, his return means a ton for the Buckeyes next year as they break in a new quarterback and lose several key pieces from last year’s squad that made it all the way to the national championship game.
Munford appears to be excited about coming back to the banks of the Olentangy, so much so that he had a trailer made to commemorate the decision. It’s pretty good and will get you pumped set to the backdrop of “Runnin” by 21 Savage x Metro Boomin.

We can’t overstate how important Munford’s return is for Ohio State. He’ll be protecting the edge for whatever quarterback wins the starting job next year.
