There was probably no player who grew more in his time as a Buckeye than three-year starter, Pete Werner. The Ohio State linebacker looked lost at times as a sophomore, but by his senior year, Werner was an all-out playmaker for the silver bullet defense.
Werner just completed his fourth year in scarlet and gray and because of the NCAA granting an extra year of eligibility, had the option to return for one more year. After taking time to think it all through, Werner has decided to enter the 2021 NFL draft.
Werner came to Columbus from Indiana as a four-star recruit and the No. 14 rated inside linebacker in 2017 recruiting class. He ended up on the outside where it seemed to suit his strengths.
