Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Justin Fields has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft as expected. Fields transferred to Ohio State after his freshman season at the University of Georgia.
The Harrison High School product was regarded as a five-star recruit before he headed to Georgia. Fields will forever be linked with Trevor Lawrence, who was the No. 1 rated recruit in the class of 2018. Fields was typically rated No. 2 overall in the class of 2018. Interestingly, the No. 3 quarterback recruit in that class is JT Daniels.
At Ohio State, Justin Fields helped the Buckeyes make the College Football Playoffs during both of the last two seasons. He played well in the CFP against Clemson in the semifinals, but ultimately, his efforts came up short against Alabama in the 2021 National Championship.
For Georgia Bulldogs fans the Justin Fields saga is officially over. We wish him luck in the NFL. Fields and BYU quarterback Zach Wilson are both considered potential No. 2 picks behind Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Justin Fields’ decision:

Now that Justin Fields is officially in, let the speculation on QB2 begin.
My rankings has him behind Zach Wilson. I know many NFL scouts who think Fields is the clear-cut QB2 in this class.
Opinions are very divided.
