LOOK. Ohio State football shares picture of Chris Olave back at practice

Based on an image the Ohio State Football Twitter account shared Tuesday, it appears as though Chris Olave is back at practice.

Some images are just soothing to a scarlet and gray soul.

Ohio State receiver Chris Olave missed the Big Ten Championship game, and though no “real” confirmation was given, it was due to isolation and protocols from testing positive for the coronavirus. At the time, the Big Ten policy required a 21-day absence from returning to play. Some simple math then indicated that he may not be available for the Sugar Bowl against Clemson.

However, that all changed when the Big Ten revisited the 21-day policy and knocked it down to 17. That came more in line with CDC guidelines, but we’d be kidding ourselves if it wasn’t also a nod towards Ohio State getting some of its players back in time for a little College Football Playoff American football party in New Orleans.

Yesterday, the Ohio State Football Twitter account slyly shared a picture of Olave back at practice in the Woody. It wasn’t a full gear workup, but it was clear that he was back with the resumption of football activities. Not by words, but by still photo.

This is clearly good news for Justin Fields and Ohio State as they get closer to full-strength heading to New Orleans. With Olave back practicing and prepping for the Tigers, the Buckeyes are a much, much different team.

Go get that redemption from how things ended last year …
