Ohio State remains No. 4 in College Football Playoff rankings

The penultimate College Football Playoff rankings have been released, and Ohio State remains at No. 4. It looks like win in Indy and get in.

The latest College Football Playoff rankings are out and there’s no change with Ohio State. In fact, there are no changes in the top five. Alabama remains No. 1 followed by Notre Dame, Clemson, and then the Buckeyes at No. 4.

Rounding out the top ten are Texas A&M (5), Iowa State (6), Florida (7), Georgia (8), Cincinnati (9), and Oklahoma (10).

For Ohio State, it would seem to be win and get in at this point. With only five games played, and a final one to go in the Big Ten Championship game against a ranked Northwestern team, it should add a couple of more data points to anyone else behind Ohio State. Especially since Texas A&M will be sitting at home.

According to the CFP committee though, there was some serious discussions between the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, so it’s not an absolute slam dunk. Still, win, and you have to think the Buckeyes will be off to Pasadena.
