Two days ago, we noted that MSU Football and Mel Tucker had offered 2021 3-star linebacker Carson Casteel out of Florence High School in Alabama. Today, Casteel officially committed to the Spartans in a quick turnaround.
Casteel, who is the No. 69 ranked player in Alabama, was formerly committed to Troy but Tucker and his staff was aggressive in their pursuit and able to sway him to come to East Lansing.
Aside from Michigan State and Troy, Casteel was also recruited by Kansas, Memphis, Navy, Western Kentucky and some others before finally settling on MSU.
My recruiting process has been a long journey that I am very thankful to have experienced. It’s given me the chance to meet some great coaches. I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for your support.
I will be signing to
