Kent Bazemore FaceTimes with Steph Curry after signing one-year deal with Warriors

After reportedly signing a one-year contract with the Golden State Warriors, Kent Bazemore had a reunion with Stephen Curry over FaceTime.

After Kent Bazemore reportedly signed a new contract with the Golden State Warriors, the veteran wing had a reunion with his former teammate via FaceTime.

On Instagram, Bazemore shared a photo of his FaceTime call with Stephen Curry. After starting his career in Golden State in 2012, Bazemore spent 105 games in the backcourt with the two-time Most Valuable Player. After Bazemore’s time in Golden State came to a close, the pair of teammates have remained close off the court.

Following Bazemore’s post, Curry reshared the photo on his Instagram story with the caption, “he’s backkkk!”

During his original stint with the Warriors, Bazemore averaged 2.1 points on 37.1% shooting from the field in 5.1 minutes per game. After spending time with the Los Angeles LakersAtlanta HawksPortland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings, Bazemore will return to the place he started his career.

In 2019-20 with the Blazers and Kings, Bazemore averaged 8.8 points on 37.5% shooting from the field with 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24.8 minutes per contest. The veteran wing shot 34.4% from beyond the arc on 3.6 long-range attempts per game.

With Klay Thompson due to miss the entire 2020-21 season with an Achilles injury, Bazemore will likely play a key role in Golden State’s revamped guard rotation. Along with fellow new signing Brad Wanamaker, Bazemore will slide in with Jordan Poole, Damion Lee and Mychal Mulder behind Curry.
