Former Ohio State, LSU, and current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s NFL season appears to be over.
Burrow was working his tail off to bring his team back from a deficit in a game against Washington when he dropped back to pass in the second half. The pocket collapsed around him, he planted and threw a long pass down the right side of the field.
Unfortunately, in a quarterback’s nightmare scenario, Burrow had one of his players blocked into him and couldn’t get out of the way as he was firmly planted on his left knee throwing the ball.
We won’t share the video because we don’t feel it’s right, but let’s just say it didn’t look good. Burrow was attended to by the training staff, consoled by current and former teammates (including a trio of Buckeyes), then taken off the field on a cart.
There is no official word on his injury, but Burrow later shared a Tweet that his season was done.
Thanks for all the love. Can’t get rid of me that easy. See ya next year✊
