Kirk Herbstreit ranks his top four college football teams after Big Ten restart, finally includes Ohio State

Kirk Herbstreit gives us his opinion of the top four teams in the nation and finally includes Ohio State after the Buckeyes beat Nebraska.

Each week, Kirk Herbstreit gives us his opinion on who he believes is the top four college football teams in the nation. Herbie has intentionally left Ohio State off his list, as well as any others who had not yet played. That all changed after Saturday.

Enter your Ohio State Buckeyes. After a sluggish start against Nebraska, OSU seemed to find their footing and went on to make a statement with a 52-17 victory over the Cornhuskers.

Herbstreit took notice and immediately put Ohio State in his top four. Clemson and Alabama stayed in the top two spots, followed by the Buckeyes and leaving Georgia at No. 4 who was on a bye week.

The Buckeyes replaced Notre Dame in Herbies top four who rolled past Pitt. The Irish and Oklahoma State Cowboys were listed as his next two in. Clemson and Notre Dame play in just two weeks and could change the entire landscape of things.

The Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley to face Penn State in ABC’s prime time game next Saturday evening.
