Former Ohio State receiver Michael Thomas suspended by Saints for Monday Night Game

Former Ohio State receiver Michael Thomas has been ruled out by the New Orleans Saints due to an altercation with a teammate.

Former Ohio State star and arguably the best receiver in the NFL, Michael Thomas. has been ruled out by the New Orleans Saints as reported by ESPN. Thomas hasn’t seen action on the field since week one with an ankle injury and was supposed to make his return to the Saints receiving corp tonight against the Los Angelas Chargers.

However, the Saints ruled Thomas out for tonight’s game that apparently has nothing to do with the previous injury. Instead, it was said that Thomas would not be playing due to “an altercation with a teammate.” It has since leaked that Thomas punched Saints safety, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. The cause of the scuffle was not shared.

Thomas led the league in receiving in 2019 with 149 receptions, 1,725 yards and nine touchdowns.
