Ole Miss wasted no time getting points on the board as Lane Kiffin’s offense reached the endzone in a handful of plays that took less than a minute. Mac Jones and the Alabama Crimson Tide did not let the lead sit for too long, as DeVonta Smith scores on a 14-yard touchdown pass.
Smith is no stranger to scoring against Ole Miss. In 2019, Smith tied Alabama’s single-game touchdown record with five trips to the end zone. He did so on 11 receptions for 274 yards.
The 10 play, 85-yard opening drive for Alabama saw success through the air, and issues running the ball. The touchdown tied the game at 7-7
Rain and other harsh weather conditions may make this game interesting, as the ground becomes soft and the balls gets slippery.
Smith looks to finish off his collegiate career with a strong performace, especially in his last game against Ole Miss.
