Georgia fans troll Justin Fields with GameDay sign, Ohio State claps back

Georgia fans trolled Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields with a GameDay sign but Ohio State wouldn’t let it go without clapping back.

Apparently, they don’t know how to make arguments down in Athens, Georgia. On ESPN College GameDay Saturday, some fans held up a sign attempting to dunk on Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

Somewhat surprisingly, it came to light when ESPN decided to publicize it and tag Fields on Twitter. The sign, which used some sort of bad grammar and slang, read “how does it feel watching Game Day on yo couch Justin fields (grammar and punctuation represented).”

It was a bit bizarre, to say the least, that ESPN even decided to highlight this and tag Fields, but nonetheless, I guess whatever you think’s going to get ratings. I mean, it is tough to get enough eyeballs on a shortened season.

But that’s not where it ended. Ohio State wasn’t about to let it go by without commenting. The Buckeye football team’s Twitter account was quick to clap back with a response.

There are so many things to point out here, but we’ll just do a few. First and foremost, we’re pretty sure Fields is happy where he is thank you very much. The Big Ten will begin its season on October 24 and the development the former Georgia QB is getting in Columbus is light years ahead of sitting behind a guy that he was clearly more talented than.

There’s also the College Football Playoff thing and Heisman finalist appearance to point out, and that’s just for starters.

You do you Georgia, and Fields and Ohio State will be just fine sprinting on past once all the dust settles. Then, there’s a good chance someone else will be sitting on the couch while he’s still playing. Just like last year.
