REPORT: Henry Ruggs III out of Sunday’s game due to hamstring Injury

Henry Ruggs III will miss Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a lingering hamstring injury.

According to reports, former Alabama and current Oakland Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III will miss Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a lingering hamstring injury.

The injury, which occurred during the Raiders’ Week 1 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, also missed last week’s game against the New England Patriots for the same reason.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport did share some positive news regarding Ruggs’ injury on Twitter:

“WR Henry Ruggs III is considered a long-shot to play Sunday while still dealing with a hamstring injury, source said. The 1st-round pick shouldn’t have an extended absence, but especially with speed guys, you’d like to get as close to 100% as possible.”

Ruggs, who was the 12th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft is on a mission to prove himself worthy of every penny of his contract, and worthy of being the Raiders’ first-round pick.

In the two games he has played in so far this season, Ruggs has recorded 4 receptions for 59 yards.

Last season, Ruggs recorded an impressive 40 receptions for 746 yards and 7 TDs.

In his career at Alabama, he had 98 receptions for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown.
