We’re going to get more and more of these over the next month leading up to the season, so get ready for a slew of newcomers to “officially” become a part of the Ohio State program. It’s the right of passage for every OSU player to have his black-stripe removed.
The latest Buckeye to be honored is freshman wide receiver Julian Fleming. Of any newcomer, many Ohio State fans are likely to know about the country’s No. 1 rated receiver in the 2020 class. At 6-foot, 2-inches, and 199-pounds, Fleming has the length and size to fit immediately into the plans of the receiver room this fall.
“Hey man. I appreciate y’all boys,” Fleming said. “Shoutout Zone 6, shoutout everybody for, you know, coming through. I know it’s been a crazy season but let’s push forward for that first game. Go Bucks!”
Watch as he is introduced to the team and provides a quick little speech and has his black stripe removed by fellow veteran receiver Chris Olave.

We’ll continue to keep tabs as the newcomers get assimilated to the culture at Ohio State.
