The New York Giants were back at work on Thursday preparing for a Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers, who have endured some of the worst injury luck of any team in the NFL.
The Giants, of course, have not been spared that bug either, losing wide receiver Sterling Shepard (toe) for several weeks and superstar running back Saquon Barkley (knee) for the year.
The good news is that unlike the 49ers, who are expected to be without multiple starters on Sunday, the Giants’ active roster is relatively healthy. And as was the case on Wednesday, everyone was participating in practice on at least a limited basis.
It appears that barring a setback, rookie linebacker Carter Coughlin will be a go against San Francisco, while the status of veteran safety Adrian Colbert remain somewhat uncertain.
Colbert was inactive in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.
Full participation: LB Carter Coughlin (hamstring), S Sean Chandler (hamstring)
Limited participation: S Adrian Colbert (quad)
Did not participate: None
