Washington QB Dwayne Haskins throws first touchdown pass of 2020

Former Ohio State and current Washington QB Dwayne Haskins threw his first TD of 2020 at the end of the 1st half against the Eagles. Watch.

It’s been a busy day for former Ohio State football players in the NFL. Washington defensive end Chase Young recorded his first sack, J.K. Dobbins scored his first career touchdown, and Dwayne Haskins also threw his first touchdown of 2020.

It was a big one too. As time was running out in the first half, Haskins engineered a two-minute drive to get his team into the red zone. Then, on 3rd and 3 from the 6-yard line, the former Buckeye signal-caller made the right read and hit tight end Logan Thomas as he broke free in the corner of the end zone to cut the Eagles’ lead to 17-7.

If you missed it, you can get a look below thanks to a video tweet from Ohio State Football.

Haskins has been entrusted with the starting gig in Washington this year. It’s his opportunity to be the answer under center in our nation’s capital, and so far so good.
