As we get closer and closer to real, live NFL football games, we’re starting to get our first look at some of the teams’ depth charts as they are released.
Earlier today, we got breaking news that former Ohio State defensive end Chase Young has earned a starting spot as one of Washington’s edge rushers — even over a four-time Pro-Bowler. And now, we also got a look at where former Buckeye and current Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins fits in as the season gets underway.
And, according to the Raven’s first depth-chart released, he’s got some work to do as the No. 4 option at the position behind starter Mark Ingram and backups Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. But, before you get too upset about the pecking order, remember that head coach John Harbaugh has already said he believes Dobbins will have a significant role with the team in 2020.

It’s also important to note that Baltimore is a run-heavy squad that likes to use all of its backs in multiple situations and positions on the field. And, with what Dobbins showed in preseason camp, don’t be surprised if he still gets some mildly significant time on the field. Also, don’t be shocked when he begins to move up that depth chart as he continues to show he’s game-ready with those opportunities.
