Former Alabama defensive tackle Dayon Payne Payne joined Washington Football Team teammate Jimmy Moreland in hosting a food giveaway over the weekend.

Payne and Moreland teamed up with Martha’s Table to provide 80 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables to families in need.
Martha’s Table is a “as a safe space for children to access after-school meals. Today, we support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by operating nationally accredited education programs beginning at birth; fighting for food justice and increasing access to healthy meals and fresh produce for over 15,000 residents; and promoting family success through our no-cost community store and engagement programs.”
As a true freshman in 2015, Payne had 13 tackles and half a sack.
In 2016, he recorded 36 tackles and 1.5 sacks, which included 5 tackles and a half sack in the national title game in 2016.
In 2017, he finished with 53 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 3 defended passes, and 1 fumble recovery.
Payne was drafted by the Washington Redskins as the 13th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft where he has played since 2018.
For the Redskins so far, he has recorded 112 tackles, 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 5 passes defended and 3 stuffs.
