Georgia DB Divaad Wilson hints at possible transfer destination

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Divaad Wilson is currently in the NCAA’s transfer portal.

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Divaad Wilson is currently in the NCAA’s transfer portal. Wilson was expected to compete for the starting nickel role next season, but instead he’s looking for a transfer destination.

Wilson is talented, as he displayed against Notre Dame last year, and should boost whatever secondary he joins. It’s anybody’s guess if he’ll be ruled immediately eligible.

Wilson is from Miami, Florida, so don’t be surprised if he ends up close to home. In fact, Wilson doesn’t want to leave his home state as he indicated via Twitter:

Which school in Florida will Divaad Wilson transfer to? Miami, FSU, Florida, and UCF are the most respected in-state programs. We’ll keep you updated on Wilson’s transfer destination and his eligibility.

Wilson should be immediately eligible since he wants to be closer to home, but the NCAA is not consistent on transfer eligibility rulings.

If Wilson transfers to Florida, then it’ll be the second consecutive offseason that a Georgia Bulldog has transferred to the University of Florida. Brenton Cox transferred to the Gators last season and will be eligible in 2020.
