Ohio State football’s 2020 win total predicted by College Football News

College Football News has come out with its Ohio State 2020 preview. How many wins and where does it have the Buckeyes finishing?

If you haven’t stumbled across the College Football News website, we urge you to do so. I remember a buddy of mine turning me on to Pete Fiutak’s writings and musings somewhere around 2006 or so and I’ve followed it ever since. Heck, I liked CFN so much that I ended up writing for the site as the Big Ten lead writer for years before I came over to dedicate my time with Ohio State full time here on Buckeyes Wire.

What a winding path we weave.

So, I always check in on what’s going on over there, and Fiutak has now come out with his 2020 Ohio State football preview. It’s always an entertaining read going through his in-depth analysis of what to expect for the Buckeyes, and it’s clear he thinks a lot of the program’s aspirations once again this fall.

We won’t spoil everything for you, but he has set Ohio State’s win total at eleven for 2020. That means he expects Ohio State to drop one game somewhere in there, and he believes the Buckeyes will split the two major road contests between Oregon and Penn State.

Any loss at this point in the elevated status of the program in Columbus is a disappointment, but that should be enough to get OSU to Indy again (barring a wacky tiebreak scenario again), and even back into the College Football Playoff.

In fact, by taking a look at CFN’s early 2020 bowl projections as well, you’ll also be pleasantly surprised at where Fiutak has the Buckeyes headed. I like Roses, do you?
