Four teams appear to realistically be in the race for the Big 12 title this season.
Oklahoma and Texas are the favorites to compete for a spot in the Big 12 Championship game, but Oklahoma State and Iowa State aren’t far behind.
This season will truly test Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley, as he’s working with an inexperienced quarterback in Spencer Rattler. Oklahoma State and Iowa State each have a plethora of weapons on offense that can keep up with any team in the nation. That’s scary in itself.
Then there’s a Texas team with ongoing consistency problems. The Longhorns can easily hang with powerhouse programs, but can fall short to lower quality opponents on any given week.
Will there be any surprise success among a team outside of those four?
