Look! Former Ohio State and current Redskins’ QB Dwayne Haskins is in incredible shape

Former Ohio State and current Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins has worked hard this offseason. The photos prove it.

As a big-time college, then pro athlete, former Ohio State and current Washington Redskins’ quarterback Dwayne Haskins has never been so-called, “out of shape.” However, he is a fairly big guy at a listed 6-foot, 4-inches, and 231-pounds. He was always seen as having a little bit of baby fat on him. Again, it was never horrible, but he wasn’t seen as a lean muscle type of guy.

If you’ve followed the rumors and talk, you no doubt know that there’s been some chatter out there about Haskins working out and getting his figure into a slimmer, more mobile version in the offseason. He’s never going to be a serious threat with his legs, but being a little lighter to slide in and out of the pocket and keep his stamina up is never a bad thing.

Thanks to the magic of social media, we now we have a photo to get a look at Haskins’ transformed body.

He shared an image of himself on his Twitter profile last Thursday, and it’s noticeable how much more lean he appears to be. Our sister site Redskins Wire does a good job framing it out, but according to him, he says he is now down to 220-pounds, which would be an eleven-pound difference in the right direction.

Hopefully, the extra work Haskins has put in this offseason will translate to a step forward this fall. The Redskins look to be putting the keys of the offenses in his hands, and it’s good to see him transform his body a little to prepare for that opportunity.
