Jets finalize 2020 preseason dates and times

The Jets 2020 preseason schedule has been finalized with dates and times.

The New York Jets now know when they will play their 2020 preseason games.

The team announced Friday that its preseason dates and times have been set. However, things could change depending on the COVID-19 pandemic.

For now, the Jets will open up their preseason schedule at home against the Giants in the Snoopy Bowl on Aug. 13 at 7:30 pm. The Giants won last year’s Snoopy Bowl, 31-22, but the Jets got the better part of the Giants in the regular season, winning 34-27.

In Week 2 of the preseason, the Jets will head to Detroit for a matchup with the Lions on Aug. 20 at 8:00 pm. These two teams last met in the 2018 regular season when the Jets beat the Lions, 48-17.

Following the Lions game, the Jets will return home for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Aug. 28 at 7:30 pm. The Jets beat them in their last home game of the 2019 season, 16-10.

Finally, the Jets will close out the preseason as they always do with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 3 at 7:30 pm. The Jets defeated the Eagles last preseason, 6-0, but the Eagles blew the Jets out in the regular season, 31-6.

All the Jets’ preseason games can be seen on WCBS with the exception of the Lions game, which will be aired on ESPN.

This year will be the last of the four-game preseason as the league will move down to three exhibitions in favor of adding another regular season game.
