5 things to know about offensive lineman Jonah Jackson

Here are five things to know about Detroit Lions third-round pick, offensive lineman Jonah Jackson.

The Detroit Lions are getting a much-needed addition to the offensive line in Jonah Jackson.

Here are five things to know about the former Ohio State offensive lineman.

  1.  He was a graduate transfer from Rutgers. During his time at Rutgers, he was part of a line that was 2nd in the Big Ten and 19th nationally with only 1.33 sacks allowed per game. He’s also expected to be one of the only Rutgers Alumni to be selected in the draft.
  2. Like most players coming out of college, he’s ready to contribute anywhere he can. He even said that he’d play quarterback if needed. Don’t worry, I think the Lions have that covered.
  3. He was in Mobile at the senior bowl and played on coach Matt Patricia’s North team. He obviously left a great impression on the staff.
  4. Once he got to Ohio State, he started every single game at left guard and got first-team All-Big Ten Honors. He will join former Buckeyes Taylor Decker and Jeff Okudah.
  5. When he was at Rutgers, he was a criminal justice major.

Welcome to Detroit Jonah! Let’s get going!
