If you’ve been following it — and even if you haven’t — we are here to remind you that Sports Illustrated is going through a series of identifying which college programs are best at churning out talent at various positions. Ohio State has already appeared in the top ten of O-Line U, and Running Back U, but where does it stand when it comes to Wide Receiver U?
You might be surprised. You, of course, know about the likes of Michael Thomas and Terry McLaurin, but how close to being named the best to produce wide-receivers since 2010 is Ohio State when looking at the entire population?
Turns out, according to a formula Sports Illustrated uses to not only reward total NFL draft picks but also performance in the league once there, the Buckeyes came in at No. 2, behind Clemson. Rounding out the top were LSU (3), Alabama (4), Georgia (5), Baylor (6), USC (tie for sixth), Notre Dame (8), Oklahoma (9), and Tennessee (tie for ninth).

Say what you will about how accurate the scoring system is, it says a lot about how the game has changed in Columbus over the last decade. No longer is it a run-first program.
