NFL regular-season schedule to be released no later than May 9

The NFL is doing its best to stick to the script as America and the entire world deal with the fallout from the COVID-19 virus impacting society.

The league has already formally announced that the NFL draft will proceed as expected and now there are reports that the regular-season schedule will still come out for fans and analysts to salivate over.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the league will release the full regular-season schedule no later than May 9.

NFL executive vice president Jeff Pash made the announcement on a Tuesday conference call and confirmed that the exact date has not been set at this point.

With several big names in the draft and the New England Patriots yet to find a signal-caller, waiting until after the NFL draft ensures that most team rosters will be set, thus allowing the league to fully construct a must-watch prime-time schedule that fans will be clamoring for.
