Andre Drummond is reportedly set to become a Cleveland Cavalier… which makes absolutely no sense.
The Pistons were trying to get rid of Andre Drummond so they wouldn’t have to pay him a ridiculous amount of money this offseason to stay in basketball purgatory.
That makes perfect sense, right? They wanted to get something back for Drummond instead of just letting him walk for nothing. That’s prudent General Managing, if I do say so myself.
Now, let’s see, what did they get back… Brandon Knight? John Henson? And a second round pick? WHAT?
Pistons will receive Brandon Knight, John Henson and a second-round pick form the Cavaliers for Andre Drummond, per sources.

This trade is super weird, man. Not only does it not make sense, it puts the Pistons right back on this weird wheel of mediocrity that they’ll run on forever and ever.

Pistons drafted Brandon Knight in 2011, then Andre Drummond in 2012. They traded Knight & Khris Middleton to MIL for Brandon Jennings in 2013. KM is an All-Star with the Bucks while Knight returns to DET in deal or Drummond in 2020. Some organizations stay in the middle or worse
