Ohio State
OG Wyatt Davis
Davis, the 6-foot-2 and 313 pound guard is an impressive athlete for his size, with a stout anchor, very sound footwork and hip positioning. He flashes a nasty streak, finishing opponents to the ground and extending blocks through the whistle in the run game. With his tenacity, athleticism, flexibility, and technique, he can excel inside at the next level for many years down the road.
Projected Round: 1st
OC Josh Myers
If the Chargers move on from Dan Feeney, they will need to fill the void at center. Anchoring an offensive line that helped the Buckeyes average 266.8 rushing yards per game, Myers is an experienced run blocker who uses his hands very well. Myers has all the physical tools to be a solid starting center early in his career.
Projected Round: 2nd
CB Shaun Wade
It’s been a rough season for Wade after making the transition from slot to outside cornerback. He will have an opportunity to prove something to scouts one last time when lined up across from Alabama’s deadly weapons in Smith and Waddle. Wade has the tackling ability and reactive athleticism needed for the the next level, but needs to improve his true backpedal. If he doesn’t pan out on the outside, Wade could contribute as a nickel corner or safety.
Projected Round: 2nd-3rd
OT Thayer Munford
Munford has started 32 games in his Ohio State career, the most experienced offensive lineman on the team. This season, in 224 pass-block snaps, Munford only allowed two quarterback pressures. At 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, Munford is a lengthy left tackle that possesses footwork, mirror and lateral-movement skills for the next level. He’s got work to do technically, but his upside is huge.
Projected Round: 3rd-4th
