Staying separate from the Sabres

While not employed by the Buffalo Sabres, members of the Buffalo Bills are trying to stay separate from the mess that the hockey team has been over the past month. The Sabres made massive firings across the board in their organization, from many scouts to other personnel, including general manager Jason Botterill.

Despite the two being different teams, they do both fall under the Pegula Sports and Entertainment umbrella. Even so, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott did his best to make sure folks know he’s not worrying about anything on the ice, even if some reports suggested otherwise earlier this offseason.

“We’re all human and it’s unfortunate. I have a relationship with Jason, hate to see things like that happen. I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision for Terry and Kim,” McDermott reflected upon with the Sabres. “As much as I’m focused over here, I support, wholeheartedly, what’s going on over there with the Sabres and I want to see them do well.”

“Terry and Kim have, to me, modeled that they’ are committed to winning,” McDermott added.
