We don’t know when we’ll start
Are you ready for some football? Aren’t we all…
Entering July, the NFL announced that training camps will begin at the end of the upcoming month as planned. But let’s be honest, that doesn’t mean a thing. We really need to bring the COVID-19 pandemic down by then, as a country, before we see any football.
While there’s been a few positive notes, the negative headlines about the NFL and coronavirus have been more frequent:
- The NFL could reduce the preseason as a safety measure.
- Could the regular season be pushed back to an October start?
- Teams are allowed to “tarp off” seating areas in stadiums and sell advertisements, a sign fans might not be allowed to attend games.
And that’s just really scratching the surface. What could July hold? Don’t let anyone tell you different: We have no idea. But at least other sports, such as the MLB, will be giving returning to play a try first.
