Miami Dolphins
Raekwon McMillan traded
The Dolphins had plenty of roster movement last week, and the highlighted move was their trade. Linebacker Raekwon McMillan was shipped out to the Raiders. Miami also sent Las Vegas a fifth-round pick in exchange for a fourth-round pick.
McMillan is a strong run-stopping linebacker, but according to Dolphins Wire, Miami head coach Brian Flores wanted a more athletic linebacker in McMillan’s place. A former Eagles player, Kamu Grugier-Hill and ex-Patriots linebacker Elandon Roberts, are guys who’ve had some stretches of starting in their careers and will be in the running to replace McMillan. Flores also went to Miami via the Patriots, so he’s familiar with Roberts. D/W also notes that the Dolphins have attempted to replace McMillan in their lineup over recent training camps but haven’t been able to until now.
