Patriots Wire reports that Bill Belichick is currently being Bill Belichick, for those wondering. All signs out of Patriots training camp, even if Jarrett Stidham thinks it’s not over, are pointing toward Cam Newton as New England’s starting quarterback.
Per P/W, here’s how Belichick handled the question of who’s his starting quarterback in 2020:
“I don’t know,” Belichick said Monday on a video conference call. “When we are ready to do it, we’ll do it.”
Classic Belichick, but it’s going to be Newton… it seems evident from all reports. Regardless, that doesn’t matter a ton to the Bills for awhile. The Bills and Patriots don’t meet until the second half of the season in 2020 and who knows what can happen before then?
