First to worst?

As mentioned, some NFL analysts believe the Bills could be the team to beat in the AFC East this offseason, but one outlet said last week that the Dolphins might be right up there, too.

Yes, the Dolphins finished in last place in the AFC East just a year ago, but each season there seems to be a big “worst to first” phenomenon. Just last season the San Francisco 49ers went from picking No. 2 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft to playing in the Super Bowl this past February. So yes, the Dolphins could be this team, according to Pro Football Focus.

From PFF:

“That’s right. They have Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm. He’s the highest-rated returning quarterback over the last two years in the AFC East. Add Byron Jones to that secondary to pair with Xavien Howard in that man-heavy scheme, the defense will be better and that passing attack is as good as any in the AFC East.”

Of course, the Bills will have something to say about that.
