Tua’s good to go
Once declared the can’t miss prospect of 2020, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa dropped to the No. 5 overall pick at the recent NFL Draft, where the Dolphins selected him. A bad leg injury in college did that to him, plus the emergence of Joe Burrow.
But because of that leg injury, folks around the NFL aren’t sure if we’ll see Tagovailoa or former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick starting the season under center for the Dolphins. Tagovailoa has said several times this offseason he’ll be healthy by training camp. And with camps opening across the NFL this week, Tagovailoa declared himself just that again.
“I’d say I’m ready to go,” said Tagovailoa via Dolphins Wire. “It’s kind of those things where you start getting the itch to get back out on the field, to be able to compete. It’s going to be a new setting, so that’s what’s even more exciting.”
Buffalo heads to Miami to face the Dolphins in Weeks 2 and 17 in 2020. It’s likely we’ll see the rookie by the season finale, but his status for the second week of the season is certainly up in the air.
