Six things to know about the Buffalo Bills’ Week 17 opponent, the New York Jets.

Like the Patriots of Week 16, the Jets of Week 17 are another team you just love to hate.

But this week, the hate is a little less. That’s because the Bills are heading to the postseason while the Jets… are not.

Here’s are six of the latest things to know about the Bills’ Week 17 opponent, the Jets:

Adam Gase under fire, but staying

The Jets are heading into this one at 6-9 overall and out of the playoff picture. Quarterback Sam Darnold once upon a time predicted that the Jets could run the table and stay in the playoff picture since their schedule down the stretch was much easier. Well, that didn’t happen.

Because of this underwhelming success, head coach Adam Gase has taken heavy heat in only his first year with the team. But team CEO Christopher Johnson said Gase will return in 2020 already, so there’s that. Maybe that’ll be some good news for the Bills.

But with all that in mind, a nice bombshell was dropped on Christmas Eve by the New York Daily News. The outlet reports that Gase does not care about fan criticism and responds to it by saying, “I’m rich as [expletive]” to various folks. A source also reportedly told the NYDN that Gase is “an insecure guy” that might also have a burner account on social media

Sounds fun.
