5-star CB Devin Sanchez puts Oregon among top schools

The Oregon Ducks landed among the top schools for 5-star CB Devin Sanchez, the No. 7 player in the 2025 class.

Recruiting in the defensive backfield has gone through the roof since Dan Lanning — and more importantly, Demetrice Martin — got to Eugene over a year ago. Since then, the Oregon Ducks have been snatching up elite cornerbacks and safeties like it’s their job.

Going into the 2025 recruiting cycle, the Ducks look to be in a good position to try and land one of the most elite defensive playmakers in the nation, with 5-star CB Devin Sanchez announcing his top 10 schools and keeping Oregon in the mix.

Sanchez is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 7 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 2 CB. Standing at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Sanchez has the length and agility to be a dominant ball-hawk in the secondary and a lockdown corner on the outside.

Sanchez also included Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, USC, LSU, Texas, and Oklahoma in his top schools, among others.

It is still early in the recruiting process for Sanchez, so we can expect to see this list trimmed down a lot over the coming months. It wouldn’t be a surprise to catch the elite 5-star CB in Eugene over the coming year, as well.
