On Saturday, Alabama’s highly recruited 5 star quarterback from California was named the All-American Bowl MVP after an impressive performance.

During the All-American bowl in San Antonio, Texas, Young went 6 of 9 for 164 yards and 2 TDs. The first touchdown was a 75 yard pass, and the second was a 43 yarder.

Young was also named the All-American Bowl Player of the Year. In his four seasons as quarterback for Mater Dei, Young threw for 13,250 yards, 152 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,084 yards and 26 TDs.

In his senior year alone, Young threw for 4,528 yards and 58 TDs. He also rushed for 357 yards and 10 TDs.

Young will start classes at Alabama on Wednesday.
