How many WRs do Bills keep?

In the past, the Bills haven’t been shy about keeping as few wide receivers as possible on their final roster out of training camp, even five. But 2020 is such a weird, weird feeling. For once, the Bills have too many playmakers outside. Yes, you read that right… there’s more than the Bills need.

While a great problem to have from an outsiders perspective, it’s a difficult one to navigate for the team’s front office. By now, we know Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis and Andre Roberts are all locks or probable locks (Roberts) for the 53. From there, do the Bills keep one more? Two more? That alone is hard to pick because that’s taking a potential depth player at another position off Buffalo’s roster.

Not to mention, Beane & McDermott need to make the correct choices, too. The biggest guy sticking out in this realm is Duke Williams. As a wideout, he’s looked good in training camp at times… the biggest knock on him is a lack of special teams ability. Imagine if the Bills cut him and he thrives elsewhere as an offensive weapon? Wouldn’t be a good look.
