5 toughest decisions Bills have to make before roster cut down

Here are the toughest decisions the Buffalo Bills and Brandon Beane have to make prior to Saturday’s cut-down deadline in the NFL.

How settled is the cornerback position?

In a very rapid manner, the cornerback group on the Bills defense has become a concern. Tre’Davious White is healthy, thankfully. Behind him, there’s a lot of question marks.

Josh Norman has returned to practice in a limited capacity recently, but missed a bunch of time prior to that, a week’s worth. Joining him on the sideline? Levi Wallace. Those two are battling for the Bills’ No. 2 starting cornerback spot across from White… but both have hamstring injuries.

The hammy issue has reached the depths of the group as well. Rookie seventh-round pick Dane Jackson, you guessed it, is also currently sidelined with a hamstring issue and he wasn’t even a lock for the final roster in the first place.

The healthy guys for Buffalo in the unit, aside from White, are an oft-injured nickel corner Taron Johnson and more likely practice squad candidates Cam Lewis and Brian Allen. All of a sudden the Bills are reeling here with injuries, and having EJ Gaines, who opted out prior to the season, would really help at a time like this.

Due to these bumps and bruises, additions could be made via other teams. And again, adding to one position group could see a player cut from somewhere else on the roster, too. Big impacts here.
