5 things to know about the Toledo Rockets

Get to know more about Michigan basketball’s next opponent, with Toledo replacing NC State on the schedule.

The Michigan Wolverines were supposed to be taking on North Carolina State on Wednesday evening in the annual Big Ten/ACC challenge. Due to COVID-19 issues at NC State, that game was postponed, but the Toledo Rockets answered the call to fill the maize and blue’s sudden vacancy.

The Rockets had an off day, and the Wolverines were wanting to still play a game, so both parties got together and made this game happen within a day. Toledo will make the short trip north on US-23 to play Michigan at 6 p.m. EST on Wednesday.

Toledo enters the game at 3-2 overall on the season, and will try to end the maize and blue’s four-game winning streak to start the season. Michigan is coming off of an impressive win against the UCF Knights after winning handily, 80-58. The Wolverines bench continued to impress on Sunday with Hunter Dickinson and Chaundee Brown leading the way.
