Coaching decisions?

If there was one thing to worry in this one other than the Bills’ kicking woes, it was a few questionable calls by Buffalo bench boss Sean McDermott. As mentioned, McDermott went with an extra-point kick after a late score instead of going for two. Had the Cowboys come back, that could’ve made a difference.

Then at two points in the game, the Bills called more than quesstionable timeouts. In the first half, the Bills burned one on an extra point. No typos there. The Bills burned a timeout on an extra point. Then on third-and-23, the Bills used another. And don’t forget, when Star Lotulelei blocked a late first half kick attempt, McDermott was actually trying to call timeout but it wasn’t awarded.

The cherry on top? Challenging the spot of the ball in the dying minutes. That almost never works.

McDermott got his players ready for the big stage and kudos for that, but those are some pretty big question marks.
