Steve’s gotta get right

The Bills got bad Stephen Hauschka again against the Cowboys.

Despite having bounce-back efforts in recent weeks, Hauschka missed and didn’t look good when he made it. From 50 yards, not an easy kick, Hauschka wasn’t even close. Buffalo got zero points off of a turnover within enemy territory because of it. Hauschka then immediately missed an extra point. Very wide right. From 41 yards, Hauschka did eventually make one from distance, but that even went in off the right goal post. Later on he converted a chip shot, too.

Hauschka was trotted out there for an extra-point attempt when the Bills really should’ve gone for two in the second half. It makes you wonder if the reasoning for that was to just get the kicker’s confidence back.

Pass rush effort

The Bills pass rush feasted again and their defensive line had a massive game. For the third-straight game, Shaq Lawson got in the backfield and notched a sack on Dak Prescott, splitting it with Jordan Phillips. Trent Murphy finally snapped out of quiet drought with a sack, too. Rookie Ed Oliver had the biggest game amongst this grouping with two sacks on the big stage.

Heading into the game, the Bills had 11 sacks recorded in their past two games combined. This test against the Cowboys was much harder than the one the Broncos and Dolphins posed over the past two weeks. This pass rush is heating up for the Bills at the right time.

And Star Lotulelei had an interception… so there’s that.
