Bills got creative on offense

Offensively, there isn’t much you can’t say good about the game plan offensive coordinator Brian Daboll put together. Daboll got Allen on the move throughout the game, giving him time to pass on a few occasions. But the most impressive moments was one that happen and others that didn’t.

On the previously mentioned completion for Knox from Allen, that play came at the end of the first half. Traditionally this season, Daboll’s play-calling becomes stale at that point and the Bills just pack it in. Instead in a close game, Buffalo went for it, and it paid off.

In addition, while we love Frank Gore, it was time for him to stop getting the ball. Gore has been completely ineffective in games as of late, recording games of 15, six, and 11 rushing yards, respectively. Those came as wasted plays near the end zone and instead, Daboll got creative, using plays like Dion Dawkins’ touchdown to put points on the board.

Worth noting is the great game for Cole Beasley. He had seven catches for 108 yards. Don’t forget: Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones didn’t play in this one, and Daboll took note that the opponent didn’t have their starting slot cornerback.
